ViewSonic - How to Connect a Touch Cable

If a ViewSonic display board is not responding to touch as expected, the most likely cause is that the touch cable is not connected or is not connected correctly.

On the edge of the display board, where the HDMI cable is connected, you should see a small square shaped port labeled "Touch".

You want to ensure there is a cable connecting between this Touch port and the Dell mini-computer of your iN2L system.

If the Touch cable is plugged in, you will want to verify that the Touch cable is in a port that is synced with the HDMI port.

The ViewSonic display board should have multiple HDMI cables, we're looking to make sure that the HDMI and the Touch ports that we're using are connected with either a thin yellow, or a thin blue line to insure they're synced.

In the image below, the Touch 1 port is synced with HDMI In1 and HDMI In2, the Yellow line connects HDMI In3 and Touch port 2.

If your display board does not respond to touch after confirming a touch cable is connected and is synced with an HDMI port, please book a virtual troubleshooting call with our support team at support@lifeloop.com.
